Whole Wheat Chocolate Chip Cookies
3/4 cup granulated sugar
3/4 cup packed brown sugar
1 cup butter or margarine, softened
1/2 tsp vanilla
2 cups whole wheat flour
1 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
2 cups chocolate chips
Heat oven to 375 degrees. Mix sugars, butter, vanilla, and egg in a large bowl. Stir in flour, baking soda, and salt. Fold in chocolate chips. Drop by rounded tablespoonfuls about 2 inches apart onto cookie sheet lined with parchment paper.
Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until light brown. Centers will be soft. Cool slightly, then remove to a wire rack to finish cooling.
